"Food Union" expands its yogurt range with a new protein-rich product line "Lakto Protein"

As demand for protein-enriched products continues to grow, Latvia's leading dairy processor "Food Union" has invested EUR 40,000 in developing a new product line. As a result, the "Lakto" brand range, based on a fermented milk product recipe created by Latvian scientists more than 25 years ago, has been supplemented with an innovative yogurt line – "Lakto Protein". It offers three different flavoured yogurts with a higher protein content, created as a solution for a balanced and functional everyday diet.

High in protein, three flavours – local berries and tropical fruit notes

The new "Lakto Protein" line has been created as a functional solution for a balanced everyday diet, offering lactose-free yogurts with a high protein content, no added sugar and no artificial sweeteners. One "Lakto Protein" package contains up to 18 g of protein, which makes up approximately 35% of an adult's recommended daily protein intake. The products are fermented with bifidobacteria, combining high nutritional value with easy digestibility. The range includes three flavour variants: mango–passion fruit yogurt with chia seeds (18 g of protein per package), raspberry yogurt with flax seeds and sunflower seeds (18 g of protein per package), and cherry yogurt (17 g of protein per package), offering a varied choice for different everyday situations.
